Health Education System, Inc Admissions Test (HESI-A2)

The HESI A2 is a computerized exam used to evaluate prospective students wishing to enter the RN, LPN to RN Bridge, LPN and Dental Hygiene programs. It assesses the academic skills students need to succeed in these programs. The HESI A2 is normally taken by recent high school graduates who have no prior medical training. While there are several tests in the HESI A2, not all are required for everyone. Prices and testing dates/locations vary depending upon your chosen university. Please check with the university for details and requirements.

You have approximately 4 – 5 hours to complete the exams.

HESI A2 consists of  following tests:

• Reading Comprehension – 55 questions
• Vocabulary & General Knowledge – 55 questions
• Grammar – 55 questions
• Math – 55 questions
• Biology  – 30 questions
• Chemistry – 30 questions
• Anatomy & Physiology – 30 questions
• Critical Thinking – 25 questions
• Learning Styles – 14 questions
• Personality – 15 questions
